House Fire and Faulty Smoke Alarms
8/20/2019 (Permalink)
Monthly your smoke alarms should be tested, by pushing the test button. If your smoke alarm ever “chirps,” it is time to replace the battery immediately. You should always have spare batteries; they should be changed when needed. Most smoke alarm failures occur because of a dead battery, missing or disconnected battery.
In the photo is a Brandon home with no working smoke detectors or no smoke detectors at all. Thankfully no one was injured in this fire. Think safety and make sure your home is safe for you and your family by adding smoke alarms to your home. Remember to place a smoke detector in the kitchen at least 10 ft. away from any cooking appliances.
