This flooring store escapes the fire that happened in the neighboring restaurant in the strip mall. Water and smoke couldn't be stopped.

All too often in this cluttered world we see buildings and homes in close proximity to one another. Sometimes even connected, as in the case of strip malls and apartments for example. There are pros and cons to such cases, the cons being when disaster strikes. Floods and fires can quickly spread from one building to another. Water moves quickly, and walls aren't usually good boundaries. If left to dry on it's own, mold could possibly form in adjoining walls. Fire can of course spread, but in the event it's stopped before reaching a neighbor, the smoke and odor isstill most likely to travel.
